How we met We met on-line, spoke on the phone once and set our first date for January 26, 2006, at Chez Lucien in the Byward Market.
It was curiosity at first-sight!
A 2nd generation Polish-German, Prairie girl raised in every "dam" town in Canada...

A 1st generation East-Indian, English boy raised in Ottawa.
A mother, consultant and soccer player meets a bachelor, lawyer and football (soccer) fan.
Varied life experiences, differing backgrounds and a natural outspokenness kept the sparks flying!
Once Hannah approved, our lives were soon to be merged and by last summer we purchased our first home.
Through a combination of mutual respect, compassion, strong family values and necessary inquisitiveness, our love grew and continues to.
How better to celebrate and share what we have discovered in each other than to exchange vows surrounded by our family and friends?
About the Proposal Proposal I:
On a wonderful warm and sunny Saturday in February, Raahool climbed to the top of a mountain and shouted out his love and proposal.....stop! It didn't exactly happen this way. However, we did snowshoe up a large hill.
We snow-shoed up the Wolf Trail in Gatineau Park. At the top of the hill (keep picturing a mountain) we had a beautiful winter picnic accompanied by champagne and a diamond ring.
Michelle said YES. I said YES!
Proposal II:
The next day another proposal came - with Hannah. While visiting the Chateau Laurier (a big castle), Raahool got down on one knee to propose. Hannah swiftly turned her back and said, "I can't watch this."
Once Hannah recovered she received her own set of diamonds attached to a charm bracelet and then requested a kid appropriate lunch at the Lone Star.
Oh, Michelle said YES again. I would say YES a third time too!

Michelle is a bright light. Her smile fills my soul and her passion ignites my heart.
She is a mother who teaches Hannah how to love and be loved by nurturing a safe and secure environment for her to speak and be heard.
Equally, she is a partner who is evenhanded and open to hearing anything I have to say.
She is courageous and strong, loving and tender. Michelle makes my everyday better.
